A recent article published in the Pentagon by the KME Math Honor Society details  a mathematical problem that was proposed by the editor in which challengers were posed to find a 6-digit prime integer X where all of its digits are prime and every pair of consecutive digits is a prime. They were to find a 12-digit integer y with the same property.

Well, a solution was found at North Carolina Wesleyan College's Mathematical Senior Seminar Class which consisted of 8 students and a professor. One of those students was tribal member MELITA LEWIS.   WOW!

It is of the utmost importance that every applicant understand that the nation is operating under a strict criteria. This Nation operates as a tribal family. Although many people may have genealogical ties, they may fail to meet other elements for acceptance. Being part of our community is a major consideration. All tribal members "MUST" maintain interaction and participation with the group. There is also a strict line drawn prohibiting us from accepting large numbers of members from outside of our communities. While there is some consideration given upon tribal approval, it would not be the norm.

Another factor is that we do not complete an applicant's genealogy. All applications"MUST" be sent with your supporting documentation, or it cannot be processed timely. It would be placed on hold.

With that being said we are in the processing stages and hope to complete our roles within a month. Being part of an Indian Nation is more than simply having a tribal card. It is a family, cultural and communal responsibility. We look forward to seeing all of you at our next meetings, our upcoming Pow Wow, and other tribal functions.
